Well i'm 17 and ive been designing my ta moko(tattoo) for a couple months now. My Maori part of the design is done (i've been carving since I was 11), but I would like to include something about my Irish heritage in it. I dont have a clue about the form or tradional ways to do it.

The debate on whether Filipinos are Asian or Islanders have interested me since a Maori person with a full face tattoo (moko) argued with me that Filipinos are infact related to Pacific Islanders via the Austronesian race. I have only noticed about 3% of filipinos on here know who they really are. And when recent DNA evidance prove we are linked we still deny it. That is like turning my back on my whole family blood line. Shame Shame Shame on you people who call your self Pinoy. Austronesia is infact a race not a continent. Be proude of who you are don't run away from it. Most of the islands of the Pacific and even indian oceans are linked Linguistically, we have the same anccestouryand now DNA! evidence show we originated from Taiwan and belong to the sea fairing race called the Austroinesian.
Its because of the Philippines long history of Invaders we as a people have forgotten who we really are and thats like turning your back on your family and existance on how you became to be you.
