Drawings of Tattoos Crosses – All About the Cross Tattoos
Despite its symbolism of various religions, drawings of tattoos crosses have been and remain much sought after designs ranging from the very simple to the very ornate.
Christian or Latin Cross
The most common of all the tattoos crosses. It can be as simple as just two lines crossing each other. However, it represents a strong and personal belief for the wearer of the Christian faith.
Celtic Cross
Another highly popular and common tattoos crosses. It features more ornate and complicated design elements of loops with no end that symbolize a never ending cycle of dying and rebirth and the interlacing of the knots expressing the repeated crossing of both physical and spiritual elements.
The Gothic Cross
Thought to have German origins and very popular with people of the Gothic movements. It features design elements of knives or dagger, wrapped with barbed wire and red blood, all put together to produce a very disturbing and daring imagery.
The Tau Cross
Also known as the Egyptians cross. It is a basic cross with lines crossing each in a T-like shape. St Francis is said to have used the Tau cross as his signature.
The Ankh Cross
It is closely related to the Tau cross with the addition of a loop on the top of the T-shape. Another name for it is the Key of the Nile.
The Maltese Cross
Its design is made up of eight equal length arms moving towards and joining at the middle, making it an eight-pointed cross.
These are just some of the many variations of drawings of tattoos crosses . Many people have even incorporated design elements from the various crosses in their tattoos. Tattoo artists can easily give you an infinite combinations and designs of the various tattoos crosses.

Well, I'm no psychologist, although I am an artist of sorts (Graphic Design student)… I reckon it's really interesting, the idea of drawing these machines. Obviously there's no way you can predict or push a child into a particular career it such an early age, but he obviously has a strong interest in machinery, machine design, and the technical element of what they do and how they work.
When he's a little bit older – or even now, maybe – I bet he'd love to see some of the Heath Robinson drawings (Google him, or maybe find a book on Amazon), I'm sure they'd be of huge interest and inspiration to him. And when he's even older, look for the book 'How things work'… I've always had a similar fascination with machinery and suchlike, from my childhood, and this book was hugely enjoyable and educational to me I seem to remember getting it when I was about 10 years old, and I still have it on my bookshelf to this day
But back to his drawing – he obviously loves it, and although it's really good that you don't want to be a pushy mum, it's equally good that you encourage him. Hopefully it will lead to a life long interest in the field of art and design, which can be extremely rewarding. If you live near any good art galleries, keep an eye out for any exhibitions which might be child friendly… take him along, talk about what you see together, let him do drawings while you're there, again, it could well be very inspirational to him, I look back very fondly on some of the exhibitions I went to as a child with my mum.
I think it's really interesting what you say about his images being many things to many people, and him not minding this… I'm not sure what it means, but it certainly shows he's easygoing about his creations, and imaginative and open to suggestions, which can only be a good thing.
I say, try to encourage and inspire him for the future
