Tips on Celtic design?

Well i'm 17 and ive been designing my ta moko(tattoo) for a couple months now. My Maori part of the design is done (i've been carving since I was 11), but I would like to include something about my Irish heritage in it. I dont have a clue about the form or tradional ways to drugstore do it.
